Spring Cleaning in 2023<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s Time For\u2026Spring Cleaning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I find myself looking at stacks of clutter that have built over the LONG winter months and ask myself if I have a problem because I\u2019ve seen too many episodes of the Hoarders series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something needs to be done because it\u2019s not only in my classroom but at home as well. Thankfully, it\u2019s Spring, and it\u2019s time to clean. If you are like me, do you lack motivation? These simple tips will help regardless if you are tackling a stack of papers, cleaning out a closet, or remodeling a room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, make a plan. It\u2019s important to have an idea of what you want the end product to look like. If it\u2019s a larger project, break it down into smaller tasks. Just a little bit every day until it\u2019s accomplished. Don\u2019t forget to reward<\/a> yourself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, consider storage containers<\/a> and shelving<\/a> to help organize small and large items. These will save you time down the road.  Everything, from fridge organizers to bins, will make your life appear less cluttered, making you feel less stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, enlist help because you don\u2019t go at this alone. Like the saying, \u201cMany hands make light work\u201d. The few dollars that you may spend to pay for help is so worth it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t forget that magic of paint<\/a>! If your area is feeling outdated, try a little paint, pillows, a rug, or other decor. Simple yet stylish additions will help you fall in love with that area again. Here\u2019s an insider secret- I\u2019ve gotten lots of free items at yard sales and online sites. These pieces of furniture only cost me time and some paint. Someone\u2019s junk can definitely be a treasure. Here\u2019s one such item.(storage container pic)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, try to recoup some money. You can either donate your stuff (make sure to get a receipt for tax purposes). Another option is to try selling at a garage sale or online site. This is a great way to pay for updates and feel good about recycling.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
